1.) Google Grant Suspended For Account Management Policy

All Ad Grants AdWords accounts must maintain a 5% click-through rate (CTR) each month (at the account level, not necessarily each keyword). Google AdWords recognize there are reasons why CTR may fluctuate, so you’ll be alerted through in-product notifications if your account is at risk of falling below 5% CTR with educational resources. If the CTR requirement isn’t met for 2 consecutive months, your account will be deactivated.

We highly focus of account structuring. We make the Ad group only for tightly themed keywords to get the best possible Ad Rank to win the highest possible position in Ad auction to get the higher CTR to comply this policy. We keep on checking the keywords performance and pausing/replacing the low performing keywords to maintain CTR over 5%.

2.) Google Grant Suspended For Mission Based Campaigns Policy

This policy violation often happens when the account manager is trying to go after every keyword that might possibly generate traffic even if it is related to the mission of the organization or not. Simply generating irrelevant traffic to the organization’s website, just to spend the full amount of the $10,000 per month grant, is NOT how Google wants to see their grant money spent. Google wants to see effective account management focused on relevant keywords and ads.

Some other concerns are running keywords with a quality score of 1 or 2.

Using single-word keywords (excluding your own branded words, recognized medical conditions, acronyms, and a small number of exception keywords).

Overly generic keywords like “best videos”, “cool apps”, “e-books”, “today’s news”, “easy yoga”, “download games”, “things to do”, “job alert”, or names of other organizations, places, historical events, or people on their own
